The facet block can help, but it is only temporary. I declined most of the injections as they were a bandaid only. I had Ketamine infustions before my last spinal surgery.
Your scar, sounds like it isn't healing right. For me within 6 weeks, it looked good. I had internal stitches that really blended in with the creases in my neck. Maybe you should go in, and make sure there is no infection.
I am here to listen anytime. I hope sincerely, that you can get an answer, and maybe some better pain control. Be assertive, as you are your own best advocate with the doctors. you are in my thoughts and prayers. ginnie:hug:

Hi Ginnie. Thanks for your response to my long story. I had 18 staples. No stitches. I'm sure that made a big difference. Tomorrow is Monday. I am going to get answers! I am at Workers Comp and their Insurance Companies MERCY. I have to go by what they tell me. It is all a matter about MONEY. You know how Blessed I am? Truly! I have my Mom who will be 87 in a few months taking care of my needs. I now have this great site that I can go to where people have gone through similar situations. That is an awesome feeling! I was putting Vitamin E on my scar and Bio Oil. It doesn't seem to do anything now. Ginnie, my 1st post op day, I had trouble swallowing and choking episodes. They had to give steroids to open my airway. Well, 10 months and 4 visits to the E N T doc told me it will take a long time for nerves and muscles to regenerate. I am still to this day having a little trouble swallowing. Where the incision is, there is an indentation and I have the feeling like there is a golf ball in my throat. Bending presents problems too. It blocks my air. I have mentioned this to the Doc who did the surgery and seems to have fallen on deaf ears. Is any of this a Normal outcome? When I saw the Plastic surgeon for my CTS, he didn't have anything good to say about how the scar looked. He just stared in total disbelief. He even documented it in his report. Well, I guess that's enough for now. Thanks again Ginnie. I'll keep you posted on any new developments.
