Default searching thru trial and error

As my name suggests, I'm lost with all of this stuff that's being thrown at me all of the sudden ...being a nurse hasn't helped me as I'm not used to being in the patient roll ...

My plight started about 2 years ago after being thrown down the stairs by my ex husband, causing a compression fracture in my L3-L5 spine. Saw 1 pain management doctor who just kept me heavily medicated. I saw him before I fired him for lack of a better word. I have been having severe neuropathy in both legs and he refused to treat it. Went back to my primary care. She referred me to an intetventional pain management doctor who's listened to my concerns and have started me on Radiofrequency ablations once a month. While its helping with my lbp, its making my neuropathy worse. She gave me neurontin 300 Mg 3 times a day. Still not much relief. 2 weeks ago, I lost feeling in both arms temporarily. Went back to my primary care who said it was "probably psychosematic". She referred me to a psychiatrist.

Saw the psychiatrist who didn't think my loss of feeling in my arms if psychosematic but a sign of worsening neuropathy so he started me on cymbalta 60 Mg/day, neurontin he's increased to 600 Mg/4 times a day, klonopin, 0.1 Mg and I can take 2 every 4-6 hours as needed and I absolutely need to take a dose before bed to help me sleep. He's also given me hydroxyzine 150 Mg at night before bed. Initially the hydroxyzine was enough to put me out for about 12 hours. That lasted all of 2 nights then I was back to my insomniac ways. So the klonopin was added at night.

I'm still having ridiculous neuropathy, coupled with horrible anxiety right now. I'm young, only 32. I feel like no one understands my situation at times. My boyfriend is great about supporting me but there are times when I'm pretty sure he's sick of dealing with me too....any advice and/or other help you can provide would be appreciated ....

Thanks in advance,
Sarah, aka lostinhonolulu

Heart I am sorry

I am sorry for your pain. When you got thrown down the stairs did you go to hospital?Did they check and see if you had a concussion or TBI?Is your anxiety turning into panic by chance? I would also check out the traumatic brain injury forum.I am on that forum.I hope you find some answers and a diagnosis. It took me a year and half to get a simple diagnosis for a concussion.I know how it can be very frustrating, overwhelming, stress etc.Welcome to NeuroTalk
