Unhappy Hi there!

Greetings from the Island. Its great to find this community. I have been suffering from post concussion syndrome since Dec./06 and am getting the hard push from Worksafe BC to get back to full time work. My symptoms worsen when I don't sleep properly, and I have wild mood swings. A bad day starts with dizzyness and loss of balance, with or without a headache, and goes downhill from there. Does anyone know what I'm looking at for the future? I think I need a hug!

Hi Dieter,
I am sorry for your PCS troubles. Are you getting better over time? My son has had PCS symptoms since February and is getting slowly better. He takes Mellatonin for sleep 6mg which is over the counter and just double the reccomended dose but neurologist says it is O.K. This has been a great help and kept him from being dependent on something stronger. This syndrome is 3 steps forward and 2 back sometimes and so very frustrating for the afflicted. Keep seeking knowledge and hang in there. Alot of people do not understand it so you can feel alone. The prognosis seems good and is just a very careful slow healing. Stay positive and know there are others out there who are also suffering !! Keep us posted on progress.
