Default Newbie- full Neck fusion

Hello,
My name is Lisa. I have never been part of any chat, message board or the like, so please forgive my awkwardness in this new forum.
I will be having a full Neck fusion on April 8th. I was involved in a car accident 2 years ago, and the pain and injury has gotten worse. I tried most other alternative treatments, but unfortunately without much success. I have lost strength in my right arm and am in constant pain. I know this surgery is the right choice, but I am scared out of my mind. I am diving into a unknown territory and feel as if I am drowning in the abyss .
I would so very much appreciate anyone who has gone thru this type of surgery to tell me about their experiences, good or bad.The more I am prepared, the better I know I can emotionally deal with this.
Thank you all for letting me "in". ~ Lisa

Hi Lisa,

Unfortunately, I don't have any advice for you. I'm going to be seeing a neurosurgeon myself this week and am anticipating my fate.
I just wanted to wish you the best of luck and a speedy recovery from your surgery. I hope all goes well and you heal fast!
