Not sure exactly where to start so I figured I would describe the incident that brought me to my current situation but before that I'll explain what I mean by my title when I say "I think I have PCS".

Pretty self explanatory so allow me to be redundant. I suffered a concussion about 2 months ago and have never really been symptom free since. So I don't know if I'm still in recovery or if I would be considered PCS. I guess I just don't understand where the "cutoff" is. I'm either still getting better (my hope) or I'm suffering from Post Concussion Syndrome. Perhaps someone here can enlighten me.

On February 19th 2013 while on the way to work I was stopped at a stop sign when I was rear ended by a tractor trailer truck doing 30 mph (according to the drivers statement). I was knocked unconcious for a couple of minutes, I'm not sure how long but I know I was out. I was transported to the ER via ambulance where the initial Dr. to examine me looked at my pupils with one of those little flashlights and stated "You have a concussion". I was given a CT scan and some of those neurological exams they give you and sent on my way with the instructions "if you still have a headache in a week see your doctor.

The accident occurred at about 8:15 am and I was walking out of the ER with my wife by 11:15 am.

Still having headaches the next week I visited my Dr and saw the PA who prescribed some painkillers and muscle relaxers for my neck and back and told me to come back in a week.

Back the next week with things going pretty good she said to call if things didn't keep improving or got worse. She also set me up with PT for my whiplash.

So here I am six weeks later and I'm still struggling every day with symptoms. Some days severe enough to keep me home from work.

I'm waiting for an appointment with a neurologist and will be posting a thread in the TBI/PCS forum with questions about that.

An MRI resulted in a diagnosis of Migraine Associated Vasculopathy. Hoping the Neurologist can explain what that is, treat it, and make it go away.

I am a serial message board reader/poster so I will definitely read any and all responses and even if I don't respond to all please know that I do appreciate the time anyone takes to read and/or respond to my thread.
