Burning Periperal Neuropathy in Feet
This is my 2nd attempt to introduce myself to the members of this forum. I think my first attempt was day before yesterday. I may have done it in the wrong place but this forum is different and bigger than any forum I've ever been on. I have a hard time finding what to click on the get to where I want to go and do what I want to do. I wish I had a map. Anyway, my name is Bill and I live on the Texas Gulf Coast. I'm 69 years old and have had a burning neuropathy in my feet for the past 5 years. I have gotten relief with Lyrica but it has side effects that I can't tolerate. Same reaction to some anti-depressant I've tried.
I recently read in the local newspaper that some people have had relief from this problem by taking alpha lipoic acid or benfotiamine which is a synthetic derivitive of vitamin B-1. Getting more testimonials regarding these 2 items and getting more suggestions as how to get relief from the pain in my feet is the reason I am on this forum.
I would very much appreciate if someone would tell me what to click on to get a reply to this post if it is possible to get a reply here. Otherwise maybe you could tell me where to go.
Also, what's a tag?
