Default New to forum...pseudo tumor cerebri

Hello,
Im 29 and have been suffering from pseudo tumor cerebri since around 2006....I was diagnosed only in 2010. Only after my vision became very blurry did I have an answer as to why I had been so sick. The eye doctor freaked out said my logic nerves were swollen and I could go blind. When I asked him what causes that he told me cancer and pseudo tumor. So needless to say my doctor ordered mri to check pituitary. It was fine. It started with severe migraines then progressed to severe vomiting. I spent so many days in er and at dr trying to figure it out. I literally threw up everyday and from the bile have lost many of my teeth. It has been a nightmare. I have been misdiagnosed so many times before getting a confirmed diagnosis of pseudo tumor cerebri. I havent been able to hold a job since 2008. I have been on diamox since 2010 which has only made me sick. I also tryed lasix which made my head swell so bad that I couldnt see straight so they took me off. After steroids and put back on diamox did it go down slightly. I take zopram daily now and was put.on 2000 mg of diamox a day. All I do is sleep and my body hurts so bad. Even still migraines so bad, my head physically swells so bad it hurts to move or swallow. I also have these bumps on the base of my skull that look like boles that leak.so the medicine is horrible. The sound of fluid moving back and forth in my head inside my ears is horrible. I have also had several kidney stones since on diamox so couldn't take topamax for migraines. I have had several spinal taps which only relieve it for a few hours. Pressure was 39 at opening with the diamox. Neurologist had given me a choice gastric bypass or shunt. I am only 220 pounds so about 90 I need to loose ive tryed so many diets and exercise is so painful so have been unsuccessful in anything more than ten pounds which is not enough to come off diamox. I can't take feeling like this anymore my kids need me. I also take care of my disabled veteran husband. He needs me he has more health problems than I do. So After a year I have finally started process for bypass since my neurologist and family doctor say it will cure me.I am scared that because it's the only condition that qualifies me that it won't be approved....now my knees and joints hurt so have to get checked for rheumatoid arthritis any suggestions?
