I don't know how to explain it. I just can do it. I focus on nothing. and Baam its a tingle electrical feeling. Also i don't have to bend my head down to do it. The potion of my head does not matter. It's so creepy i just cant explain but it just feels so cool. Matter affect when i was reading the replys i had a strong electrical feeling. Depending on the music/Excitement i am feeling i can increase the sensation.

Hi erkan555 and welcome to NeuroTalk.
Do you notice it when you bend your head down? If this is the case it could possibly be what is called LHermitte's sign. There are different causes for this. The hallmark of LHermitte's is abnormal sensations (tingling, vibrations/buzzing, electrical shock) from the spine down. The sensations will last only seconds but you can repeat them every time you bend you head down. There is also reverse LHermitte's: the sensations, when bending the head down, will go up the (neck, brain).

Also, the feeling in the brain varies. Sometimes its on the top of the brain. Sometimes its on the back near my neck. Like as i read the reply's i felts does electric tingles or shocks. The top part of my brain after it stops tingling feels little weird for another 1-4 mins. But that's rare. usually only happens after many electrical tingles. But i can conclude my mood and reaction to things increase/decrease the sensation. 100% clear on that. Also, thank you guys for having me here.

Hi erkan555, I know exactly the feeling you describe as I can do this too. I discovered I could do it over 30 years ago as a child. I don't think it is anything more than a sensation we can create, it doesn't "do anything" so there is nothing to worry about.
I have mentioned it to doctors over the years and no-one knows what I am talking about either. ![]() |

This sounds like a wave of piloerection moving over the skin.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Goose_bumps Sometimes there are no frank goosebumps at all, and it is just a sensory feeling. I've had this at times now that I am "old" on my left side. It is a wave that moves down my body. I've always thought it was a "reflex" of some sort. But I cannot control it, and it is not unpleasant. I do have a pinched nerve in my neck on that side, so I always thought that could be a trigger. The inside of the brain does not have sensation you know. There are some nerves around the blood vessels which mediate contraction or dilation for blood flow. This is where headache is felt, but not in the tissue of the brain itself. Open brain surgeries can be done with people awake, who can talk and interact with the surgeon. Dopamine is the neurotransmitter of "pleasure" and some people feel this when listening to music, or using certain drugs. Stimulants and cocaine will cause a sudden release of dopamine, which is the reinforcement of it, and leads to addictive behaviors over time. But listening to music and feeling it intensely is just a less intense dopamine mediated experience. (one can see why raves and concerts can have recreational drug use during them to intensify the experience). People vary in how much dopamine they can make, and all the neurotransmitters vary in amount genetically from person to person.
