Smile Greetings to group. :)

Greetings!

New member here to NeuroTalk support group.

I have seizures secondary to TBI from childhood. Currently struggling through decreasing dosages of Ultram/Tramadol. Seeking any suggestions which ease withdrawal symptoms.

Looking forward to being a part of this forum. Thanks!

Wink Hello & Welcome!!

senu87,

It is great to have you come and be with us. You will fine a great number of dear friends to listen when you are in need of ears. Please, just let us know how we can help you out. You will find out we are supportive and relaxing place. I do have epilepsy which I was 10 when it developed. It has been going on for 49 years ago, until in december of 2009.

If you do see a neuro or Epileptologist you should get an e.e.g. done along with an MRI and CT scan this will help find out what's going on.
If you want to find an Epileptologist you need to ask your family Dr. to refer you to one you can usual find them at University Hospitals or Large hosptials.

Try taking vitamin B12 once a day. Also when at the theater seeing a movie when the bright light blast out avoid looks at them by covering you eyes.

Start keeping track of your sz. and write down what time they happen and describe them also write down when you start and stop your monthly cycle because hormones changing can also cause sz. for many women.

There is a forum dealing with Epilepsy, just click on the following:

http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/forum11.html

Please keep us up to date on your situation. Again welcome, looking forward to seeing you around. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Hi Darlene,

Thank you for the support but looks like this reply was meant for user "senu87."

Many of your suggestions above I have done, some ongoing. Found several forums & groups here at NeuroTalk to be supportive, informative, and friendly... especially link you posted for Epilepsy.

Thanks again!
