Default Hello everyone

Hi,
I started seeing a neuro about a year ago. I've been having parathaesis and pain on my left side for about the same length of time. Well today they told me that the passage in my spinal column is closed up on my spinal cord in my neck and that's what has been causing a good deal of my symptoms. I am really scared and have no one to turn to who can understand. They were testing for MS so I guess that this answer is technically a good one but I'm still really nervous. I'm an artist and there is a deep rooted fear in me that I will lose the ability to draw and paint. I currently walk with a cane because of my balance issues and vertigo. I feel like in the last year my whole life has been turned completely upside down and this one answer is just going to lead to a million more questions. I hope someone can understand what I'm going through

Default Hello gidjie girl

Welcome to Neuro Talk. I will be in the spinal forum too. I am sorry your cervical neck is giving you trouble. I have had surgery for this, and will be here for you with any questions you may have. You can PM me as well.
I too am an artist. I had to change position of how I do things, and not look down as I am fused. My surgery was successful, in that my pain was greatly reduced. There are alot of us here on NT, that have cervical issues. This is where I came when I was afraid too. ginnie
