Default Anger issues

Hi,

Can someone please help, I am getting helpless.

Steven my son had a TBI in 2010. He has now been diagnosed with superficial siderosis.
'
He had a major anger outburst last night. His pupils where completely dialated and had this wild look.

Is this a part of his condition or not, can anyone please advise?

I am wondering if he needs other meds or just an anger outlet.

I am trying to determine if he can control his anger or not. His girlfriend was pretty scared last night. He is a rather large chap so he can be quite intimidating.

Thanks
Liza Joubert

Hi Liza,

Specific questions regarding TBI might better be asked in the Traumatic Brain Injury and Post Concussion Syndrome forum, however anger is one of the steps in the Kübler-Ross model; often related to grief, but also apply to any chronic illness or life-changing event.

Five Stages of Accepting an Illness

I also know from personal experience that anger need not always be a bad thing; it can be utilized positively and productively when focused or channeled. Knowledge is power.

understanding anger

utilizing anger

channeling anger constructively

focusing anger
