Confused newbie with a query

Hi,
I found this forum by accident while looking up information re my son & his recent diagnosis. he has worked for a large supermarket for more than 13years with no sick leave at all . Last year he was moved to work on the newspapers & last August collapsed , he had pins & needles in his left arm , it was shaking & then was extremely cold . The hand went into a claw & he could not use it . It took 3 months before any treatment ( some physio has improved it a bit). he also had an issue when evry time he turned his head to the left his voice sounded like gibberish but as soon as he turned back to centre his voice was ok . Still had no diagnosis for this . He has also found that his left leg collapses & he can only stand or walk if his left leg is turned out to the left , if he tries to stand with both legs facing forwards he falls over backwords & has no balance . Despite numerous scans , private examination by a neurologist all the have said is it's peripheral neuropathy & suggested more physio & neuro physio but the waiting list is so long I have now booked a neuro physio privately for next week as otherwise there is no progress. One thing came from one scan was a narrowing of the neural formina on the left . Could this cause the imbalance with his stance. I am so concerned as he has never had any issues before & this has only happened since he was moved to the newspapera where he was having to lift the large bundles out of a deep supermarket trolley up onto a higher desk as they changed the 2 sided cage which used to be used & removed the flatbed trolley for transporting the papers so it was constant bending over . Has anyone else had this type of diagnosis & is there light at the end of the tunnel.
