Hello All,
I've been a frequent lurker of the boards and finally decided to register and introduce myself. I am a 35 year old demale currently trying to figure out what is going on with my body. Hopefully I can make this short and sweet. Right now I am seeing my 3rd neurologists to try and figure out what is causing my nerve damage. It all started back in October 2010 that I noticed wierd symptoms in my left hand, tingling, numbness and stiffness. I have worked at a computer for many years in my career so I just shook it off as cramping from being on the keyboard. Well it was starting to get worse to the points of my fingers getting stuck for a few seconds. So I went to a neurologists and had Xrays, MRI's and EMG's only to be told they have no clue. Great so I shook it off and then late 2011 my hand was to the point of not being able to lift my wrist up. So I decided to see an orthopedic specialists and he sent me to another Neurologists who did 2 more EMG's about 8 months apart and nothing, everything looked good. Well obviously something is not right, so the orthopedic Dr said I had radial nerve palsy and decided to do surgery to look at my nerves. Feb 2013 I had surgery on my elbow and he discovered two trapped nerves; ulner nerve and radial nerve. So I 'm thinking everything is all good and my hand will start to get better with therapy. THat is not the case, hand is just the same and now I am having issues with my right foot. I can stand on my toes but can't lift my heel and I have a funny walk. So now I'm concerned and all these other scares are starting to go through my head. So I decided to see yet a different neurologists who was highly reccommended and he did a EMG/nerve test on both legs and my lower back and said all looked good except my peroneal nerve is damaged in right leg but not completly damaged.

So now I'm freaking out because my right foot is messed up along with my left wrist, what in the world is causing this. So I asked the neurologists what can cause this and the first thing he said was vitamin deficiency, diabetes, cancer...he didn't mention the other scares in my head MS or ALS. So the first thing he did was what no other Dr had requested was ordered blood work. My results showed me deficient in Vitamin D and very low in Vitamin B. My Vitamin B was 285 so he sending me back to get Homocysteine and Methylmalonic Acid tested to check my vitamin B. I have a feeling my vitamin B could have been lower at some point because the previous year I was on a weight loss program that included monthly vitamin B injections and that seems pretty low for someone who was getting injections previously.

I hate the waiting game and I think my anxiety takes over at times.
