Confused A life of painful leisure

My husband and I picked up my mother yesterday for Labor Day.I feel a lot of guilt because I am suppose to be there to take care of her. She is 89, and helps her 94yr old sister in her home. Then goes back to her farm. It is hard to explain to people who look at your outside how you feel on the inside. We were at The Old Country Buffet for an hour and 1/2. Mom carefully taste tested one tsp at a time. Then the drive to view all the aunts and uncles farms. (another hour and 1/2) I got in the back seat, and prayed for a bolt of lighting to strike me. I love her dearly, enough to spend two days in bed recovering. The only other place I attempt this feat of stupidity for is church. Her advice for my head pain....eat a pickle.....Aunt Lavern ate a pickle ( 94yrs old ) and her headache went away. I will rush right out and tell my drs at Mayo that mom.
