Default Dejerine Rousey

Hi, I've had Dejerine Rousey for the last 4 years or so. I had a little tear in my thalamus. Over the years I've kept searching back on the web for a support group and found very little information. I've had chronic pain for the last 23 years from a broken neck when I was younger. Then, this stroke hit, a couple of years ago. I've had some experience dealing with chronic pain long before my stroke.

I've been on a daily diet of pain and anti depression medication. I can't imagine what it would be like for a relatively healthy person getting this stroke and how their life would suddenly so drastically change. And, then there's trying to convince other people about the pain your having with no injury. I was very lucky. I was already under the care of a neurologist and pain management doctor and there was no hesitation for the diagnosis and treatment. If anyone would like to talk to an old timer, please feel free to contact me.
