My counseler thinks I should be chatting on line with some sort of support group cuz I can't realy get around.

Welcome Teresa! I, like you, am all new to this, well the site anyways, not to online support groups. So, from experience, I want to tell you that you have made the right choice and that you can likewise take a very deep breath because you are in the right place, for like you, a lot of us cannot get around or are mostly if not totally homebound, and just need some social love and kindness flowing around us in some kind of way! And what better way for that to occur than to join a web support site full of individuals who most likely know EXACTLY what you are going through, and can be there for you when things are up, down, and in-between!

Welcome to Neuro Talk. You found a great site for compassionate people. I am not new to this, but stayed here as the support for all of us is there. Neuro talk has forums for just about everything. If you need other support just ask, and many will offer their ideas.
Council is always a good thing in my opinion. Two heads are better than one sometimes. ginnie

Welcome to Neuro Talk. This is the right place to be if you are having trouble. I don't think there is a soul here who doesn't have some kind of medical issue going on. We all kinda pitch in with ideas for each other. I joined in a freaked out state, facing several surgeries. What I found here, were a group of people who wind up being friends. The moderators of the site are awesome. Jo*Mar can help guide you, if you don't know what forum to be in. There is also another Neuro talk, that deals with more emotional issues. Both sites have medical and mental issues we talk about. Feel free to explore, and talk to anyone you want to. If you have a specific issue, up at the top of the page, there is a "search" word. Click on that and it will bring you to the forum you want. I will be here any time to listen. Your councilor did make a good recommendation. I think this site kept my sanity more than once. As all the others have said...you have found the right place ! I've only been on here since late Sept but have found much support an information from these kind people.

This is my first on-line talking to anyone and I am so enjoying it.
