Hello, my husband has 'very atypical Parkinsonism' diagnosed 20 years ago - he does not have a tremor, does not respond to dopeamine - but has been quite well really till the last year or so, when dementia has slowly appeared. He went into respite for the first time recently after some agitation following a period of bowel impactment - then had a fall resulting in him spending a week in our local hospital - where they changed almost all his meds!!? Primarily he was on Stalevo, quite well, now on Madopar dispersible - he now has some mobility problems, and his blood pressure is low, resulting in some wobbliness on standing. I am not happy with the madopar and am going to speak to his Neurologist about it in couple weeks time. Does anyone have any comments which could be useful to us? Thank You, J.

Default Welcome J :)

Just wanted to welcome u to the site. I don't know much about PD but I'm sure there will be many others behind me giving you some good advise. This site and the people on here are amazing and most helpful and supportive.

Please keep us posted on you and your husband.

Hi, and welcome to the community! As Debi said, this is a very supportive place.

Have you found our Parkinson's forum yet? If not, here is the link: http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/forum34.html
