Default Hey Y'all!

I'm Ashton I am 26 and I have been diagnosed with RSDS stage 2. In Oct.'11 I was hit head on at 70mph. I acquired multiple devistating injuries and was not expected to survive. Needless to say I made it with the help of an amazing medical team, great drugs and thousands of dollars worth of titanium hardware!

I have since had constant sever debilitating pain of the right ankle knee and pelvis. I have been pushed off from dr to dr with zero clue as to what was causing the pain, swelling, discoloration and bone degeneration at one point I was told there was nothing that could be done and to just deal with it!
I finally took all of my issues to my GP who said she is 98% positive I have RSDS but to be sure she was reffering me to a Nerve specialists who would do more in depth test and would beable to give me a 100% accurate answer. Today at 12pm I was diagnosed with RSDS stage2 and my agressive TX plan began I was prescribed 6 oral medication and given a refferal to a desensitizing PT. Tomorrow I go in to have a custome orthopedic insert made to reduce pressure and furth damage to my ankle and Monday I have my first big procedure. Im sor ready for sum relief from this pain!

Smile Hi Ashton!

Welcome aboard!

You have indeed come to the right place for support and information on RSD/CRPS. So many people here battle this very frustrating condition (including moi).

I'm sorry to hear of your accident which caused this. My goodness, I can't even imagine what that must be like to be hit head on at that speed.

Make yourself right at home here at NT! Darlene has pointed you in the right direction.
It's great to have you!

Caring,
Rae
