Default Greetings - TM? and MS?

Greetings,

I was referred here by another board and would like to say hello. I've actually lurked here for information for several years but never posted. I find myself in need of some support now so am writing to you all.

Several years ago my sister was diagnosed with PPMS.

Three weeks ago, while I experienced a very unusual and disturbing condition. My left arm started to go numb. Over the next hour the numbness wrapped around my left across my stomach and back and then down the right arm. By the next morning the numbness was like a corset around my torso, down the back of my arms and extended to my pinky and ring fingers.

Two days later both my hands were completely numb as well. I'm still numb and my back is one big cramp!

I have visited my Dr. Who gave me oral steroids, a muscle relaxer for my back spasms and a referral to a neurologist.

Saw the neurologist who made lots of notes and scheduled an MRI of my spine for next week.

None of the doctors seem to be worried that I can't feel my hands, arms, chest and back. Neuro muttered transverse myelitis. I'm left in the dark with google to run up my paranoia.

Any help, advice or sharing of your own experiences are welcomed.

Thanks for reading.
