Default Complex Partial Seizure Depakote vs Levetiracetam?

Hi,

I am 28 y.o and was diagnosed recently of having complex partial seizure.I had my first attack just this Feb. 20, 2014. I had MRI and no abnormalities seen in my brain. However, my parents informed me that I had convulsion due to high fever when I was young. I consulted two different neurologist one instructed me to take Levetiracetam for 1 year and the other one is depakote for 6 months. They said that my condition can be treated. Is it true? I am taking Levetiracetam Ivetra right now. I just want to make sure that Levetiracetam can cure my condition not just to control the seizure.
I lose my job because I cant work at night. All career plans were gone. I just want to know if what medication has been very effective in treating epileptogenic discharges
.
