Default Tarlov Cysts

Hello,
I am so glad to find this site. I was recently diagnosed with a Tarlov cyst, not sure exactly what level, but in the sacral region. I also have spinal stenosis and a large herniated disc. I've had back trouble on and off for several years, sciatica, piriformys (not sure if I spelled that right) syndrome and just general low back pain that generally resolved with meds, osteopathic manipulation and/or rest. For the past three weeks, the pain in my left leg, hip and back has been intractable. NSAIDS, muscle relaxers and hydrocodone do little to relieve the pain. I've read information on the internet about these Tarlov cysts, even joined the Tarlov Cyst Support Group. I am merely looking for another forum to gain as much information about this as possible.
I am being referred to a neurosurgeon, but have not received the appointment date yet. My biggest fear is that the specialist is not up to date on the current treatments for this problem.
I look forward to learning more about this disorder and sharing my experiences with folks.

Suekw
