Default Just being diagnosed

I am in the process of getting a diagnosis (local neuro was no help) at Cornell Peripheral Neuropathy Center. The nerve conduction study done by local neuro states length dependent axonal sensory neuropathy and postganglionic sciatic issues. I had skin biopsy, repeat nerve conduction/emg studies, 16 tubes of blood taken and am awaiting an mri of my pelvis/right lower extremety. Had ruptured peroneal tendon repair 12/20 and tarsal tunnel right lower leg 4/14. Does any of this ring a bell with any of you. This has gone on for over 1.5 years with one wrong diagnosis after another. I am so scared. I have terrible pain right lower lateral leg and top of right foot which I feel the peroneal nerve is compressed (same feeling before tarsal tunnel in that nerve distribution which was relieved after the release). My second question is has anyone had their insurance cover the mri neurography? Thanks.

Hello Wolbachc,

Welcome to the NeuroTalk Support Groups.

I see you've found the Peripheral Neuropathy Forum.
I'm sure the members there will be able to give you information and support regarding your questions.

We also have a Diabetes Forum if you need that.

I'm not sure if it'll be of help to you, but there's an informative post regarding Repetitive Injury Syndrome in the
Repetitive Strain Injury Sub-Forum

I don't know about the insurance issue, but I'm sure the users on PN Forum would know something about that.

All the best to you...
