Default Hello from Miami

My name is Ozzy
On 06-18-05 I was a passenger in an SUV that rolled over 5 times after a tire blew out
I was airlifted to the hospital n was in a coma for 6 weeks...with my jaw wired/broken.....a shunt in my head to release pressure n a trac. To aid in breathing....
Once I awoke, my eye lids were droopy n I could not move my eyes...
I had paralysis om my left side n my speech was severely slurred
I still have the same issues only my paralysis is very slight n my speech has improved slightl

Thanks, I have had 2 stem cell treatments in Panama that have helped me quite a bit..

My biggest issue is due is my vision ....or lack of....lol
The double vision keeps me from doing allot of things......like driving n enjoying my hobbies of fishing n wrenching on my cars

I am currently doin oxygen treatments in sets of 20 sessions every few months....as money allows since I had to retire after my accident n am now on a fixed income...

The oxygen has lessened tremors that I'd get on my affected side (left side) n has recovered some feeling to my face, which in turn has helped my speech

The folks at the oxygen therapy have recommended that I go see Dr. E. Tobinik in Boca Raton Florida as they've seen his patients improve with his treatment/injection..
I have n appt. on July 10th!

Hi Ozzy,

Welcome to our brain boo boo club!

You will find that, like you, many of us sustained our TBIs in MVAs. I hope that you will find support and information here at NT. I can already tell that we can learn a lot from you about various treatments, like stem cells. Interesting...

How do I "subscribe" to a thread? So I can track it under my User CP?
