Default I need help!!!

My brother has been suffering from a degenerative condition for about a year now. At first the symptoms were ringing in the ears, slight loss of vision, speech impediments, sever headaches on the right side of his head, and a very slowed cognitive state.
we went to the hospital however no one was able to determine anything and did not take him very seriously. He went to multiple other doctors and none were capable of diagnosing a condition or cause of his symptoms. Eventually he got an EEG scan and the doctor said that he could clearly discern a hyperactivity in portion of his brain that my brother was describing pain, however this doctor's solution was meditation. My brother's conditions are to the point where he cannot function and is in constant pain. His motor skills are severely inhibited and he is almost constantly asleep in terms of cognitive function. He is forgetting almost everything constantly. What do we do?? There has to be someone who is willing to take this seriously.

How old is your brother?
What other testing has he had?
MRI, CT scan, Blood work?

Is he near a teaching medical school?

It sounds like he needs to find a good primary care dr that will help him get to the correct specialists.

He's gone to a well noted primary care physician in our city (Scottsdale, Az) his name is Dr. Reynoso.
My brother is 19 years old and he had Blood work, Mri, and a CT scan. All of which only found ischemic scar tissue from when he had an ischemic stroke as a baby.
Ill look for medical schools anywhere near by.

Hi there... I am on vacation and this will
be brief.

Make sure he gets a B12 test and that
The results are 400pg/ml or above.
Low b12 can cause nerve damage and
most doctors ignore that factor.

People with the MTHFR mutation don't
Activate it properly and need methyl cobalamin
Form as a supplement.

There is a long thread in the stickies on our
PN forum for details.

Go to the Mayo Clinic. The one in Rochester, MN has the largest neurology department. No doctors I have seen ever believed my condition or taken me seriously except the doctors at Mayo. AND I HAVE SEEN. Lot to try to resolve my medical condition. It was my last option as I had exhausted literally every other one. I wish you and your brother the best.
