Default A little comfort please

Hello Everyone,

I hope you are doing well although I know from the posts that many of you are suffering, such a great supportive group to belong to.

I need a little comfort please if anyone can.

I am new to the group just a few days and have had some wonderful help from Mrs D, Bless that lady and she is on holiday, that is so kind.

I took a course of metranidzole 8 weeks ago and have been left with a terrible neuropathy, the pains are awful and seem to be getting worse. I have seen a neuro, his tests including nerve conduction were normal, I am now trying to arrange a small nerve conduction test.

I have started supplements as suggest by Mrs D, I am doing fish oils, Magnesium, Al cartnine, Benfotamine, B12 and B complex but I am not sure if something is making pain worse. I tested for high B 6 levels so wondered if anyone you found B complex made pain worse. I don't want to bother Mrs D on her holidays again I am sure the poor lady needs a rest .

Can someone help me please and has anyone else had such horrors with metranidazole and does it ease. I really am in a state, I feel as if my life is not worth living with such pain. I am very sensitive to doctors medication so do not want Lyrica etc. I so wish I had not take the metranidazole but it was part of a triple therapy for hpylori and was advised to do so although the hpylori was not giving me symptoms it was found as part of a routine blood test. I know we need doctors but sometimes their meds cause more problems than they cure.

I really would appreciate any help anyone can give.

I wish you all well, do I have any hope of recovery please.

Thank You So Much for listening I am sorry to moan. I do appreciate all the help this group gives to each other

My Very Best Wishes

Liz xx

Hi Liz,
This is the New Member's introduction area so not all users will check in here for new posts, however, you will find a lot of older posts regarding that particular medication if you do a full forum search using this link
