Default In a fog ..dianosed Aug 7, 2014

Somehow I got on the PD forum annd sent a note and received some very helpful replies. Listened to a PDFoundation expert brief about progress of this disease and wish I hadnt because the stats are scary..just told sibs and 3 friends yesterday and feel ok about that but want no hovering....trying to take things one day at a time which is prob what we are all doing..my doc said keep up my usual activities which I'm doing but feel my gut is in a knot and head in a fog... guess this will eventually pass..hope for more info after brain MRI next Wed.... thanks for this space to vent...Elaine

Hi Elaine,
It is totally understandable that you would be distressed about your diagnosis.
I'm glad you've told your family. If they start to hover you can just ask them nicely to "back off a little"

It would be very difficult to not think about what the future holds especially this week so close to just being diagnosed but please take the advice of the members there in PD forum and take each day as it comes for now.

Vent any time you want.

I appreciate your kind words..my mri brain scan came back with no abnormalities so I meet with neuro.doc next week to discuss whats next with the PD. I really appreciate all the helpful replies I've received..thank you

Write a list of everything you need to ask.
It's easy to forget things when you're there in the moment.
