Default Right Arm Pruritis Person

As of today, I am a new user. I'm looking forward to learning some things from other Pruritis sufferers. It was not until I went to a dermatologist (young and apparently smart) that I ever heard of brachioradial pruritis. It took the young doc no more than five minutes to listen to me describe my complaints and a brief look at my arm to inform me what this itching menace is. I thought the marks were some sort of bug bites - oddly only on my right arm and hand - nowhere else. I'd been to several personal care physicians and they all were stymied by the phenomenon and not very interested. That is, other than to say, "Don't scratch." That was like saying, "Don't think of peanut butter." Upon hearing that, one thinks of peanut butter immediately. Same with the itching/scratching thing.
Young Doc prescribed Gabapentin (Neurontin) which helps to some extent. I needed to take an increasing dosage from where I started for it to make any difference. I also have an ointment: Clobetasol Propionate, which helps if I use it. I forget. I constantly have "wounds" on my arm and hand from scratching.
This all started about seven years ago after I moved to Tucson.
