Default New member has some questions please

Hello everyone,
I hope this post won't be too agonizing long, bt I feel its important to get out the full story so you folks can have a better overall understanding of the situation. Well..here goes. This is in reguards to my wife who is 46 yrs old. Her first symptom was approx 9 yars ago, She was at work having lunch with her friends then out of nowhjere her entire head stated shaking like a bobble doll, as well as her left arm. This lasted for about 5-10 min. We attribituted it to stress. After that incident she was pretty much sympton free except her head would shake a little when she multitasking e.g. like talk on the phone, and her left hand would occasionally jerk things and throw them. She went to any doctors at that time, nothing con-conclusive was determined. Maybe migrains they said,,,they were not sure. So she just dealt with it.

Then about 1 year ago symptoms from hell hit her. Severe head tremors along with shoulder and arm, but ONLY on her left side. Then she started having these attacks we called them, where she would have a major tremor, pain behind her left eye like it was going to pop out of her head , and like a truck was running over her entire LEFT side and felt like she was being crushed. They would last anywhere from 15 minutes to well over an hour. It finally came to the point she was no longer able to work. Saw many doctors, and we have the worst free county insurance up here (iehp) for california san bernardino county , bottom of the barrel which severely limited any good quality doctors. we have been to the E.R. probably 20 times with assorted weird thing happening to her. They did nothing for her except get her out of pain temporarily.

We finally get a neurologist, who initially things its m.s.. but refuses to treat until more signs are shown....Great..more suffering. Then the attacks migrate to the right side ?? What is going on we ask. We on our side have done literally hundreds of hours of research, and most thing just didn't fit with m.s., but more like parkingsons. Now here comes the kicker. A good fined of my wife was talking to her and noticed how much her voice has changed and says : you sound just like my mom: who has had parkingsons since 1999. She puts her on the phone with my wife, they start talking and comparing symptoms, and everyone matches !!! Holy macarell . We take a newer list of symptoms to the neurologist amd its very hot for some reason in his office, and hat sets off my wife's tremors, so as you can guess, she goes into tremor mode right in front of the doctor. OK says doc, we are going to start treatment for m.s. My wife uses her gut instinct and yells out "I don't have ms.s Look at my symptons, m.s. wouldn't do those kind of things, I have PARKINGSONS !!! he was like wow... my wife then begged him to put her on a parkingsons med, if she doesn't have it it wont work, but if she does it wll work. He agrees and states you will be my first patient who has self diagnoses herself. Well after we get home she takes her first dosage ( which he perscribed way too high) carbidopa/levodopa 25-100 generic for sinemet by mfg purepac. Within 15 minutes all her leg pain left, she was laughing ans smiling.....something I haven't seen in 6 months or more, and she is saying I feel great....I know it ...I knew I was right. So there it is BAM..if she didn't have parkingsons the drug would have absolutely no effect, if she did its fast acting and notice an immediate difference

So now we are in heaven to at least know what it s finally, so we can take steps in the righht direction for proper treatment. But that night she has severe nausua, sweats ( she never sweats) inmomnia, ice cold feet, over all feeling like poop. Next morning she takes her 2nd dose. Same symptoms but a little worst. Said she feels like shes on speed. We called her friend who had has this since 1999, and to tell the doc to prescribe a different brand, and for gods sake lower the dosage, because he started her off on it way to high being a first timer. She tells us she also belongs to a parkingsons group and has seen in quite a bit, where on manufacture caused a number of side effects and another one didn't. Oh and btw IMPORTANT she is diabetic stage 2, so she has to eat. Since she has only taken this dosage 3 times, would it be safe for her to completely stop taking it till the stupid insurance and doc can lower the dosage with a different brand. he said probably yes since she hasn't taken that many, but to just simply cut one of the pills in half and see if that's helps. Well that was last night and she was up again most of the night with really bad nasua . Thats where we are at currently. I sorry for the long post, hope I didn't put anyone to sleep, just wanted to get out the whole story so as not to miss something important, cause this stuff is so new to us. ANY comments, suggestions and help if greatly appreciated. Its the worth feeling in the world is to see your loved one deteriorate in front of your eyes and feel so helpless and cannot do anything to fix it.... thank you all in advance...Mark Below is a curent list of her current sypntons we presented to the nuero.
