Default Hello

I am a new member. I have been reading the threads here and they have been helpful. Should I state the problem I am having here or go to another part of the forum?

After going to various doctors I found one who diagnosed my problem. I have Trimengial Neuralgia, hence the burning and pain. They have started me on medication and are adjusting it as needed. If this does not work then I may have to have surgery. Going for a brain scan to rule out any problems. I know why they call this the suicide condition. I am doing a bit better but not as good as I like. I will keep you informed periodically. Thank you.

Cool Smirk

Hi Makenzie,
TN is Hell! Mine is caused by a knot of arteries around the trigeminal nerve before it branches, found by MRI, so it's made worse by anything that affects bloodflow - temperature, acupuncture and especially GTN spray.
What meds have you been put on? I have some relief from oral Ketamine dulling all my nerves down mixed with opiates.
I hope your scan comes back clear and your meds make life easier.

Dave.
