Default Newbie: One year post-DBS for Parkinson's

Finally decided to join other PD people who have had DBS for celebration, commiseration and education. I had my surgery 13 moths ago, experienced an absolutely miraculous "honeymoon" of no PD symptoms whatsoever for about ten days and am now "managing expectations", meaning dealing with the realization that the PD will be keeping me company forever, and however much the stimulator is doing for me, it will never completely control the intrusions PD makes in my life.

Welcome to the NeuroTalk Support Groups.

Here is the link to the

Parkinson's Disease Forum

There are other members there who have had DBS surgery.
Have a look around. There are several subforums at the top of the main PD forum as well that may be of interest to you.

take care.
