Unhappy NPH Complicated by Post Polio Syndrome

Hi all,

I joined the forum because I've had one unsuccessful shunt placement for Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus and am considering trying again. I just posted a question about it in the hydrocephalus section and am looking forward to hearing folks' perspectives.

My symptoms have gotten so much worse in the past year since the shunt was removed and, because the Post Polio Syndrome has decimated my muscles, I'm especially prone to injury from falls when I lose my balance, which happens multiple times during the day, even with safety measures; I just don't have the muscle strength to make up for losing my center.

I'll stop for now. It's good to be here.
