Default Hello Everyone

I'm very glad to be able to find this site. I have had four concussions in the past eight months, the first of which in July was very significant, after 45 years of a lot of head hitting anyway. I am here to visit the PCS forums.

My symptoms have improved a lot but a lot of the remaining issues are having a big impact on my family life. My husband is wonderfully supportive but I have a preschooler and a 7th grader. This is causing problems because I am having a really hard time being a proper parent. I cannot tolerate noise and all their talking and therefore I don't want to be around them that much. Even at the dinner table, after a little while I start to retreat into sullenness. I have always been a warm person but now I require a phenomenal amount of personal space. I love my family just as much as ever. I also get lonely but I find people so overwhelming with their endless talking now.

Thank you for welcoming me.
Julie
