Frown Please help me, my docs have no answer...😔😔

I started abnormal feeling on my toe two years back and I didn't take it seriously.. after that it went to my face and I went to emergency, they checked if I was having a stroke, and then was sent back home. After few days I was back to normal, only had little bit of abnormal sensation on my left toe.

If you are still with me then thank you for reading. So, After 8 months, in sep 2014 my abnormal feeling crawled back with traveling burning sensation all over the body..

I went to my PCP, and had blood work done, my ferritin was 2, B12 was 297, Vitamin D 19, so I started taking supplement for iron, vitamin D, and B12 shots.

Meanwhile I went to see a Neuro and had brain MRI done, which came back normal. Thank god...🙏🙏

After three months of taking vitamins, I had blood work done all my levels went up, my ferritin was 56, B12-693, vitamin D 26( still lower side). But my symptoms were still getting worse.

So, for second opinion I went to see another Neuro, he did nerve conduction test and it was normal. My Neuro has no clue, what could it be, now he wants me to see some other Neuro...I'm still taking vitamins, but my symptoms gradually getting worse..

I'm only 32 years old. If anyone of you going through or had same symptom, please help me..🙏🙏🙏

Hello lavi,

Welcome to the NeuroTalk Support Groups!

When is your appointment with the new Neurologist?

Were you ill or did you have any vaccinations prior to when your symptoms first started?

Do you have any other pre-existing illnesses e.g. Diabetes or autoimmune disorders, or did you sustain some type of physical injury?

I'm not really sure where to suggest you post, but you could perhaps check out the

Vitamins, Nutrients, Herbs and Supplements Forum

regarding your B12 and Vit D levels.

You could also post on the

Peripheral Neuropathy Forum

to see if anyone there has some ideas for you.

There is also a Forum Search Feature
You can type in keywords and it brings up older posts and threads.

I'm sorry I can't be more helpful in suggesting where you post, but there are so many conditions that have burning and numbness as symptoms.

take care.

Welcome lavi,

You have landed in a soft place. I truly hope someone can give you some direction. Have you looked at CRPS or some of the neuropathy syndromes? Did you have any trauma or even overuse? Being a CRPS sufferer I really hate to point anyone that way, what is on the Internet is heavily slanted to a doomsday approach which is NOT the norm so if you look into PLEASE, PLEASE don't panic. 80% of people with CRPS get better over time. It is just an idea based on the started in the toe and then moved from there with burning pain statement. The Budapest Criteria is the most utilized so maybe take a look at that.

I hope you find relief soon! I am sending Healing Love,
Littlepaw

Also sending healing thoughts and prayers. I've been where you are, frustrated with no answers, as many have here, but there are so many things it could be I don't want to steer you in the wrong direction. I do believe following up with the other neurologist is the best advice anyone can give you. The hardest thing is the not knowing. In the mean time, keep researching, but enjoy your life as best you can at the same time. And don't give up on getting those answers. It seems like an eternity, but they will come. Let us know when you find anything out, ok?
