Unhappy Rsd

Hi everyone

My name is Judy and transporting is my occupation hense the name Ladydriver. Anyway during the course of my work I tripped and broke my wrist back in June of 2014. Soon after surgery to put my wrist back together with a plate and screws I developed early sysmptons of CRPS. I started therapy immediately because my ortho felt it would be best to start moving my hand and she started me with Lyrica. I had to wait my 90 days to be able to seek out the best. I still have the same ortho but I did switch my therapy group to a specialist who deals strictly with the hand and upper extremities. I sought out pain management but was unhappy with where i was referred to.

Recently I was referred to a Dr who deals with RSD/CRPS and we started with gaglion blocks. He also confirmed that the pain I was experiencing was not in my head which at times i thought could have been psychological but he did confirm the diagnosis. The first attempt lasted 5 days. Last week I had a second but inbetween those shots was a month. Now I am having back to back blocks in hopes that the results are going to be longer than five days. Last weeks shot worked till today. One other thing he is also using Ketamine nasty stuff if i must say. Has anyone had success with these blocks and if so how long has the relief been. I'm sorry if this is long but i didn't know there was a support group where i can vent my frustration with this disorder. I'm beside myself with no one who understand the pain that comes with this disorder. I hope I posted this in the right format.

Judy
