Hi my name is Erin and I'm new to any forum really. Thought I'd take the time to introduce myself and thank you all for giving me some peace of mind. Your useful posts have made me not feel so alone in this illness.

My symptoms are: numbness, tingling, swelling, burning and throbbing sensation, issues walking and putting weight on my foot, weakness, cramps, and spasms.
Other condition: possible neuroma in left arm which causes numbness, tingling, burning, and cramping in my left hand and forearm (I am left handed), Depression/Anxiety
Rx:Nucynta 1/2 50 mg 1x daily (prescription meds make me feel awful, I have a low tolerance for them). Tylenol gels
Exercise: just started being able to walk again. not motivated to workout
Job: SalesForce Administrator
Hobbies: Taking care of my 3 lovely dogs, watching old movies (actual old movies like Singin' in the Rain ), going to Disneyland, and hanging out with my husband

Hello Erin,
Welcome to NeuroTalk.
It's great to have you here.

You probably have found it already but here is the link to the
Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy (RSD and CRPS) Forum

Check out the "Sticky" threads/posts at the top of that forum as well. There are many resources and lots of helpful information posted there.

take care.

Hi Erin,

You are definitely not alone. You will find good support on the CRPS forum and plenty of understanding. Come when you need to vent, when you have questions, when you have good and bad news. There is always someone near. Plenty of us have dealt with the whole foot thing and rehabbing back from nothing. Great that you are walking! The pool is a good place to start the exercise. Build strength a little each day and you WILL get there. There is hope, 80% of people improve over time according to all the retro studies. Hang in there and let us know how you're doing.

Sending Healing Love,
Littlepaw

Hi Erin,
There is a lot of support and advice here for your physical problems, but please don't neglect the equally important issues of Depression and Anxiety. The former goes hand in hand with Chronic Pain for a lot of your fellow members, and rarely do either go away on their own.
While you can get support here I urge you to address these conditions with your GP if you haven't already done so. Depression has been shown to adversely affect physical pain in an endless circle unless broken.
Of course you do have your dogs to help you with this.
Any time you feel the need to discuss either of these issues - or anything else - I am always available.

Dave.
