Arrow GerC

Hi Everyone
I am a newbie. I came across Neuro Talk by google search.
My husband has Parkinsons Disease with 12 years.
He deteriorated quite a lot over last year. His name is Donal.
He is not into tech stuff so hear I am on his behalf.
He has had the Duodopa pump since March 2015. A few weeks. Once the gel meds start to kick in he is great. During the night he takes Sinenet Cr tablet when pump is off.
He can barely move or walk early morning until the pump is attached. He is very grateful for getting the pump. It is bulky & was wondering if anyone knows of a different or discreet bag he could use for the pump.
I send kind wishes to everyone here from Ireland

Hello Ger and Donal,

Welcome to the NeuroTalk Support Groups!

If you haven't found it already, here is the link to the
Parkinsons Disease Forum

There is a Forum Search feature too that might be helpful if you're looking specifically for posts about Duodopa for example.

take care. It's good to have you here.

Thanks Lara & Kitt for the welcome.
It really helps. I am the carer & find things tough going at the moment.

Cool Smirk

Hi GerC,
Many of us here, for countless reasons, have to rely on a Carer - and frequently it is a Loved One such as yourself. Often, pain, changes in ourselves brought on by illness, injury or meds, Depression or even a lack of thought or taking for granted makes us seem less appreciative than we truly are. I don't say that is the case with you, but remember when things get hard that Donal is a better man for your Caring, and he loves you for that as we all love our Carers.

Dave.
