Default Spasmodic Torticollis, Focal Dystonia

I am sick, focal dystonia, Spasmosdic torticollis. Sick from maybe 4-5 years. A lot of variety, drug drank, did not help. It was made even three operations did not help. Now, in the last seven years is Botox, every five or six months.I CANT LIVE WITHAUT BOTOX

I really want to have a baby. But I can not because they do not live without Botox.without Botox after six months, I have already been very difficult.

and to plan a child needs to last six months after Botox. And where are the nine months? And still need to carry and give birth to a child. My heart cries out in pain.

maybe someone sick? And have kids ? how to suffer, how to survive ?

sorry for my mistakes

I think you should ask your OB/GYN about the Botox...

From what I am finding, it is fairly uncharted territory.

This article explains:
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2117417/

The data from this article is small however, so effects on the fetus are still mostly unknown.

my doctors can do nothing for me to answer about Botox and pregnancy.
while I was reading that must elapse time of six months after the last botox , then just start planning for a child. but as I said, after six months I already difficult without botox
I'm afraid I'm afraid anyway
and when I find it hard , I come strained muscles without botox , difficulty speaking, difficulty eating , even more difficult to walk. And it's probably too bad for the child and the pregnancy ?

Hi lonelygirly
I'm sorry to read your story about a condition, Spasmosdic torticollis, which I, like many, had never heard of. To figure out what you are dealing with I did a little searching.

You've probably already researched info and support groups etc. yourself but here's a link to one lady's story that I thought you might be able to relate to:

http://spasmodictorticollis.org/inde...Emily-Chaconas

If you go to the home page on this site it has other links to stories and info.

I hope you find some answers and with help can find a way to manage the ST and have the baby you so long for. All the best.

Hi Lonelygirly,

Like bluesfan I had to search your condition, and am sorry you are dealing with something so painful, with a treatment which is causing you heartache.

If it turns out that carrying a baby is impossible, have you considered surrogacy or adoption? While the first may be complicated, there are always babies and children in need of a Mother's love which has been denied them.

I hope something can be sorted out for you.

Dave.

Lonelygirly,

Well, I hope they come up with another treatment - or positive advice - for you that allows you to carry your own baby.

Until then, can you access Counselling Services so that you are helped to not feel so bad about it?

Dave.

Hey Lonelygirly,

I did a little more of a Search - Botox and Pregnancy - and found:

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2117417/

This, though a small Study, is the sort of positive Paper you are looking for.

Dave.
