Confused New Member

Hi to all. I am an over 70 male who has been diagnosed with Parkinsons since 2003. I have been treated mainly with Carbidopa-Levo and had minimal results. Since mid 2004 have been getting involuntary movements of mouth (lips, tongue, and jaw) which have impacted on my speech. In the last year this speech problem has gotten progressively worse to the point where I drool a lot and have ultra difficulty speaking. Has anyone out there had similar symptoms, and if so what was the treatment if any? Thanks.

Someone should be coming in soon to help you with you. I am not that familiar with Parkinsons, but there are ones here that are. There is a Parkinsons forum here that will probablity help you out.

I just wanted to welcome you aboard. Hope to see more of you.

Smile Hi There Lou!

I'm very happy to meet you! I too just wanted to drop in and welcome you to the forums. I know very little about Parkinson's Disease. Just what I've read while researching my condition. But there are people here who can help you out, and I know they'll be happy to. In the meantime, I hope you feel much better, and your symptoms recede so that you can live a more normal lifestyle. Good luck, and all my best wishes!
