Default New kid on the block

Hi

Just to introduce myself. I'm from the UK (Wales!) and have had Parkinsons for 4 years. Will be interested to catch up on the debates on this forum.

Interesting developments on gene therapy reported today, but as ever it is early days and too soon to judge it as the panacea for the disease.
I shall follow the debate with interest

Smile Hi CLS...

It's really great to meet you. Sounds like you take your research and your debate both seriously, which I think is a very good thing. You always have to keep learning! I hope I see you around the site. Take care, and best wishes!

Thanks for the welcome.

I feel at home already

I have only just started to browse this forum, and there is obvioulsy going to be a lot to absorb. I'm impressed with the contributions I've read so far. Support and enouragement is important, as well as keeping up do date with developments. The Parkinsons Society in th UK has only just launched its forum, and no doubt will provide an equally beneficial source when it has become established.

Best wishes

Hi everyone

Thanks for such a warm welcome. What a friendly forum

Glad you like my nickname, which my very loving but irreverent daughter gave me a few years back. It just stuck, although I should say I am nothing like as cool or animated at Dood'ys funky chicken

Loved the link to the website.

I am realising what a large community of support there is for people with Parkinson's. It's very uplifting
