Default Hello, I am a TBI "survivor"

Hello,

My real name is Donna but that name was taken here so I am borrowing my cat's name, Polly. I found that for me,since my accident in 2004, keeping it as simple as possible is the way to go.

I am not sure how I found this site but after reading the posts I'm glad I did. It is somewhat comforting to find people in a similar situation. I had some really bad times after the accident which ironicaly was caused by a young man with a brain injury who should not have been driving.

Anyway after overcoming MANY obstacles mentally and physically I found I have learned quite a lot about TBI. I still want to learn more but I also want to help others, especially those who are just experiencing this life altering situation. Remember to celebrate your "breaks in the fog" and be patient with your platueas. Never stop learning.
