Frown New Here

hi I'm new here I had a car accident at work April 28 I was rear ended by 0 ATV vehicle a four wheeler and I Drive a small sedan 4-door Galant anyway it's been against about 4 months now and I was diagnosed by the workmans comp doctor as having post concussive syndrome and I've been having a lot of the symptoms that I have seen on various sites in posted by other people even on here and I thought I'd come here to try to get some Support and some information

because aside from feeling confused because of the post concussion syndrome I don't understand how this happened I never had a concussion before I don't remember losing consciousness I don't even know if I hit my head in the accident but I have a lot of the symptoms I'm afraid of driving and loud noise that I have I've been diagnosed with

you I'm supposed to all types of headaches among other things I also have disc bulging in the cervical area of a c3 C 7

I had to get an attorney through workmans comp will for my workmans comp case because I wasn't getting the help I needed from workmans comp would Transportation in like
I've read and realize they have a lot in common with other people that have the PCs as its abbreviated I feel alone and overwhelmed and terrified and not myself foggy disease
I have depth perception issues I come to stop at the intersection and I know where stopped but why I see the other vehicles around me continuing to roll forward or in Reverse all in unison and I know it's not real but that's what I see and I have tremendous anxiety when driving through an intersection and I just don't feel safe delivering pizzas going back to work feeling like this but my lawyer has advised me that I need to try

he also asked me if I thought I need to see a therapist or a psychiatrist to help me to deal with the additional depression I already have a history of depression and anxiety that's why I was on disability but I'm tired of going back out in the workforce and it just seems like one thing after another one battle after another like I just can't get ahead

and I feel like other people have described also that they don't understand her to think I'm blowing out of proportion or psychological or making it up that they don't understand so it can't be that doesn't sound reasonable to them it sounds far-fetched and I'm frustrated but my mom sees it and my mom hears me cry my mom helps me do everyday things and keep focus and she reminds me of things

I have lots of gaps in my memories I've signed documents and not remember signing them and then just today at a deposition of document was produced in front of me that I surely signed the certified letter card and I was a signature on the bottom of the document that I returned it to the insurance company for my employer but I didn't remember that in it happens all the time but I'm expected to go back to work and function around hot ovens and drive in according to Pizza Hut standards in a swift delivery time and Trips upstairs with an injured shoulder and bulging discs in my now
I couldn't force bases in a Super Bowl headaches and light sensitivity I just drove into his douchiness foggy feeling I don't know how to explain it I just wanted to find some support in there for him here having to speak this text into this message because I can't stay focused enough to type this in I just hope to be able to learn from others here and why I'm wondering if anyone else has had a mild concussion I actually had a normal CT scan it was told everything was fine but the workmans comp doctor as I think I mentioned earlier and my post is the one that diagnosed me with the post concussive syndrome I never heard of any such thing and I didn't know it was classified as a TV I

my own experience of the tbi is that I have a 17 year old it was hit by a car when she was four and she was in a coma for 17 months and she made she lived by the grace of God that's my version of the tbi I had no idea that this was considered version of a TV I in that I'm scared I'm horrified I'm 44 years old but I feel like a big baby and I'm feeling of not being taken seriously and I don't know what to do

Hello Lotus,

Welcome to the NeuroTalk Support Groups.
I've split up your message in the quote below to make it easier for me to read.

I'm sorry you've experienced such a terrible accident. Many of the symptoms you're describing including the headaches, sensitivity to sound, anxiety, overwhelm, confusion and others are not uncommon in Post Concussion Syndrome.

Also, one does not need to have lost consciousness to have sustained a concussion.

If you haven't found it already, just click on this link and it will take you to
Traumatic Brain Injury & Post Concussion Syndrome Forum

I'll also post a couple of other forums that may be of help to you below

Layoffs, Unemployment and Worker's Compensation

Spinal Disorders & Back Pain

Anxiety and Depression have separate forums as seen below.

I'm very sorry also to read about your daughter's experience. That must have been a very difficult time for all of you. It's incredible to hear that she has done so well and come through it all at such a young age.

This is an extremely helpful site.
There is a List of Contents down at the bottom and that may help you understand some of what you are experiencing right now.

No problems Lotus.
Totally understood.

p.s. Added later - I see Jo*Mar made paragraphs as well.
We were doing it at the same time. Hoping I haven't made it confusing.

Hey loftus, please don't think that you are going crazy or being a big baby! PCS is very scary. It takes time to adjust to the new you.
Take your time, have some rest. See if you can get a neuropsychologist to assess you. I will tell you what deficits you have and it is very reassuring.
