Everyone here understands limitations. I have heard good things about Dragon software.

Getting your pain down and some gentle physical therapy may help with the use of your hands.

Do try the gabapentin, it is helpful for nerve pain and getting the system more calm. One caveat though, gabapentin can contribute to depression in some individuals. I don't know how common this is but in case you find depression worsens while on it, perhaps it is a factor. I was one of those and switched to nortriptyline instead. I am NOT trying to scare you away from a med by any means. I think you need to try what's available till you get some relief. There are numerous med options all with pros and cons. It may take some trial and error to find what works for you.

Many people use Gabapentin to great effect, but you do have to titrate up to a working dose.

Thanks Dave! I was given Gabapentin & another doc ordered some Cymbalta, not sure which is best and scared like hell to try either one but I will need to very soon.

Be well.....
