Default Greetings!

I've scrolled through this forum many times over the last couple of years searching for info on post-concussion syndrome. It is almost 2 years since my son was injured in gym. He never had any prior concussions. We have seen a concussion specialist locally who dismissed us once my son did not recover in a timely fashion, we have seen adolescent med specialists, headache specialists, done vision therapy, interactive metronome therapy and traveled 3 times to ATL to work with neurochiropractor. The latter is the one treatment that at seemed to make even a slight difference. We have been round and round with medication, he sees a psych doctor to deal with depression and anxiety and loss of his sports activities. This happen when he was a junior in high school and he never returned to full-time school. I am at a loss and not sure what else to try but know that surviving and thriving are quite different.

Hello and welcome to the NeuroTalk Support Groups.

I'm very sorry that your son is dealing with post concussion syndrome. Please check on the

Traumatic Brain Injury & Post Concussion Syndrome Forum

There is a lot of information in the "Sticky" threads at the very top of that forum as well. They contain useful websites and other information that may be of help.

Feel free to just introduce yourself on a New Thread and I'm sure you'll find a lot of support from the members there.

take care.
