Default New to this

My husband fell off a ladder 3 weeks ago and fractured his skull. He also has bruising on the frontal lobe area of his brain. He's currently in an in-patient rehab program and considered high functioning. He is absolutely furious that he has to be there and cannot recognize that the fall has caused issues with his cognitive thinking. He's threatening divorce and is desperately trying to leave the rehab facility. Any words of advice?

Hello DrewSpouse and Welcome to Neurotalk Support Groups,

I am so sorry to hear about your husband's accident. That is a lot of stress and worry. You will find this a supportive place with many friendly people.

Here is the page for Traumatic Brain Injury and Post Concussion Syndrome

and Caregiver's Support

There is a handy Search feature and an FAQ for answers to common forum usage questions at the top of the main forum page.

Have you discussed the situation with your husband's doctor? If there hasn't been a psychology consult at your husband's rehab facility, ask for one. You may also want to get the social worker on board.

I hope things get better for you and your family soon,
