Hi all,
For me, this post is old news. I have SCA-2 (ataxia) but I'm not going to get into that right now.
Eight years ago I moved to a different city because my GF started a new career. At that time her 2 children were 12 and 14. I could tell they were intelligent, despite low marks on report cards, bad test results and teachers phoning us. They just weren't focusing on anything important. Computer games are about all they could/did focus on.
They were also both on Ritalin, which didn't help anything.
My Naturopath was prescribing Udo's Oil for me at this time. I am a smoothie/juice/blender guy. One day I made a big batch of smoothies and decided to feed the kids a liquid lunch (smoothies). They loved it! Drinking a quick, filling, healthy lunch every day at noon, they found they could get back to school for noon hour sports and friend-tiime.
I didn't want to ruin their happiness with the smoothies by telling them it was made with fresh fruits and appropriate supplements. Kids don't usually care about health foods, probably because they don't taste wonderful. One of the ingredients was Udo's Oil 3-6-9, everytime. This oil has the correct ratios of Essential omegas. My naturopath had mentioned that many of her patients with ADD also had incorrect ratios of omegas or were deficient in omega oils.
In weeks, we saw both kids change! We took them off Ritalin. They were both now getting 80s and 90s on report cards. They settled down and even started reading books. They both got their focus back. If you know of someone with ADD/ADHD, try Udo's Oil 3-6-9. If it doesn't work, at least it won't hurt- it is healthy and essential.

Moonspell67,

Those smoothies do sound tasty. I'm sure they could be made with a variety of different Omega products.
