Attention Hello. Just checking in.

I do not believe I have been to this forum before but have been many times to neuro forums when I was trying to learn more about multiple sclerosis. I have MS since teenager (but only 30 year diagnosis). IN addition, I had left 1st rib resection for TOS in 1982. NOW, my Doc wants me to go back to a Thoracic surgeon for a workup for TOS again, because my left arm is swelling and my left jugular vein and left face and head and left breast are swelling. I think he is on the wrong track and I believe the problem is closer to my heart. Has anyone ever heard of this happening following left rib resection, so many years later. The swelling at the place where the jugular, supraclavicular and sublaclavian are backing up swells up visibly like a balloon that is going to burst and my blood pressure drops. Does anyone have a clue? Moderators?

I'd interrogate your doc about this. The mods moderate the board to make sure everyone gets along and postings are appropriate. They aren't doctors. Keep pushing for answers, and good luck!

Hi MSpast... WOW... I've never heard of a condition like that B4, so I would just add that I think you need a second opinion, esp since you are not in total agreement w/your Dr.

Hope you can get some info from other board members.

Thanks for coming to visit us, and Welcome..... *saw you were listed as a "visitor"...

Hi,

Welcome to NT!

I would see a thoracic surgeon and a vascular surgeon just to be safe.

I'll also ask one of the mods to copy your post over to the TOS forum to see if any of the vascular TOSers have had a similar experience.

Welcome, msPast, sorry to learn of your condition, it has to be frustrating.

Let us know how we can help and feel free to visit us at MS, we don't always let it get the best of us... sometimes I think we even forget about it when we're together online.
