Default Hello, I'm a new member

Hi, I'm glad I found this forum and am hoping this will help me out with my condition. I was diagnosed with Vit. B12 Deficiency in Feb. 07, which it turned out, unfortunately, I was deficiet for over 2 years time. At this time, I am experiencing a LOT of CNS problems and would like some input for some of your members. I am especially needing this input as I have found many of the "specialists" are way behind the times with this syndrome. I cannot find a specialist who knows how to treat me and am developing more and more symptoms, thus feel emotionally and physically like I am slowly going down the 'tidy bowl drain'..... I don't want to end up paralyzed, which I know can happen...you see, I am a RN with 2 Master's degrees....and even I can't find the appropriate doctors.....Lord help the average citizen. This has been an eye-opening experience for me....
It will be a Blessing to have the emotional support from others who have experienced the same symptoms, while I would never wish this on my worst enemy, at least they would know it's "not in my head" and I am making it up )
Please excuse my sense of humor, by the way, it is my coping mechanism. The more I'm stressed, the more it flies! My motto has always been:
If you don't laugh at life, life will laugh at you!
and hey, I'd rather be the one laughing! Nice to 'meet' everyone!

Cool Smirk Hello....

....you will more than likely find a great deal of good information concerning symptoms on the periphial neuropathy site. There are a lot of seasoned pros who contribute great information.

Default Rose is a 'resident' fellow knower of many things B-12?

You can find her at this part of the boards:

http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/forumdisplay.php?f=49
Within that forum and throughout our forums you will find her posts and read her own developing web site....
She too has been a sufferer of B-12 deficiency and is one good, kind, responsive person in regards to issues not only of B-12 but other vitamin, mineral and asorbtion issues.

I can only encourage you to read her posts here, and those of others as well. We all come to the B-12 issue and others with varying viewpoints.

In reading prior posts tho, you might find that your own questions have been asked before. Usually answers lead to more questions. Rose has been kind and unstinting in her generosity to many here who have questions, then new questions after that.

I guess I've got to ask about your 'symptoms'? Does that mean neuropathy? We have a board for that too at:
http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/forumdisplay.php?f=20
Just click on the blue 'sites' and you will get there.. If the B-12 is causing other problems, well we've resources on that as well.

Really, there aren't any quick fixes, if there were, we wouldn't be here? But there are lots of things one can do and try and be to help things along...
I sure hope I see you somewhere here soon! - j
