Lightbulb Hi All!!!

Hello to all of you...the strong, patient, often perplexed survivors, family and friends confronting the effects of neurological issues. I survived a brain injury in 1993, "mild", but still deal with cognitive and physical challenges on a moment to moment basis. Arg! I am curious about the impact of low barometric pressure on post concussive headache and the side effects of medications, as well as inspiring ideas for organizational and motivational methods!!! I have endured and overcome much, have many great coping strategies to share, but since every day is new I'm still growing into new methods of change and hope for neural network re-routing!!!!

Hi, Izzie3, welcome to NeuroTalk!

I like your style, that's the right spirit. I hope for re-mapping too, but I keep hitting the cognitive fallout! For me, it's MS, so it's also a never-ending adventure.

Have a look around and jump in anywhere. If you need a hand with anything, just give us a holler. See you out there.

Default Welcome!!!

A great site for both organization and inspiration is flyladies Thanks for reminding me I need to check it out more, I can use some of both right now!!! Sorry to read of your injury, yes a low pressure change will cause major health issues in some people, my husband for one will get a severe headache and muscle pain!! Sometimes mild head injuries can cause life changing health issues as well as personality change. Sorry you are still dealing with yours!! Carose

Hi there Izzie, it's nice to meet you.

I've had a couple of those concussions myself, maybe more (hard to tell with all the car accidents I've had!), and they are painful!

You might want to check in at our headache forum, and here is the link. http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/forumdisplay.php?f=32

Also, here is a link to the Traumatic Brain Injury and Post Concussion Syndrome forum. http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/forumdisplay.php?f=92

Carose reminded me that I need to check in with Fly Lady as well! It's a fun site and has tons of good recommendations for organization for those of us who are 'organizationally challenged'. If you're interested, here is a link to Fly Lady. http://www.flylady.com/

I know I have CHAOS syndrome - Can't Have Anyone Over Syndrome. LOL! But then, I also deal with fibromyalgia, back problems, etc. etc., and the ole depression.

Good luck and welcome to this wonderful place!
