Frown Do i have a concussion and do I need to seek medical attention

Hello. I'm lacey. I'm 25 years old
3 days ago I got hit in the head. Since then I've had trouble with fatigue balance sensitivity to light and I feel like I've slowed down.
This morning about 10am my "allergies" hit me all of a sudden and benadryl doesn't help at all. My nose continually runs and is stuffy. I can't seem to quit sneezing and coughing and my throat is sore
Is the 2 related and should I see a dr?

Hi lacey,

A few yrs. ago I was in a auto accident and had a concussion and if I were you I would make an appt. to see the Dr. the fatique, balance and sensitivity to light are some of the signs of a concussion. If I may ask do you have a headache or feel dizzy? This is also part of a concussion at times depending on how bad it is. Try taking vitamin B12 1000 mcg. once a day to help calm the nerves and stay away from anything with nutra sweet in it like diet soda because that's going to cause more problems.
Your Dr. should order an MRI and CT scan to be sure of what's going on. The stuffy nose, sore throat all sound like allergies.
Get a calendar and keep track of anything weird that's going on and write down what time it happens and what the problem is this will help the Dr. a lot and they may see a pattern as to what time of day or night it starts up the most. I wish you the best of luck and May God Bless You!

Hello Salmongirl: It's been a while since you posted this. Hope you're feeling better. I mostly just wanted to add a reply here welcoming you to NeuroTalk! Perhaps you are already aware... but there is a forum here on NT related to post concussion syndrome:

Anyway... glad you decided to join us here. Hope to see further posts from you in the days to come.
