Default Greetings

I'm an Army Veteran. I received a concussion in Sofia, Bulgaria on a 4 day pass during my 6 month deployment to Kosovo on 24 Jun 2002. Over the last 15 years, I have had sporadic Vertigo events and Blackouts. I have also been medically diagnosed with PTSD IAW DSM-V from my 5 yrs on Active duty as an MP and my two deployments: KFOR-4A and OIF.

Hi Rev_NJB_Army_Vet

Welcome to NeuroTalk .

The TBI/PCS forum (https://www.neurotalk.org/forum92/) is very active so if you decide to share your experiences there I expect that you will get helpful thoughts from other members.

There is a PTSD forum here but it is not very active.

All the best.

Hi Rev_NJB_Army_Vet,

Welcome to neuro talk. A lot of my family has made a career with the military and I want to thank you for serving our country.

I had a concussion from a auto accident an few yrs. ago and I had terrible headaches. I am concerned about your blackouts, if I may ask when they have happened and then you come around do you feel confused or sleepy after the blackout. If you do there is a possibility that you may have had a seizure. I don't mean to scare you but I've had epilepsy most of my life and I know that in some cases PTSD can sometimes cause seizures. Try taking vitamin B12 1000 mcg. once a day and cut back on the caffeine to see if that helps. I wish you only the best of luck and May God Bless You!

Sue
